New Canadians join the team - Never too old to play a new game!

Way back in 2019, from the comfort of our homes in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, we decided to embark on a new life adventure!

We had had this dream of opening a women's clothing boutique as a mother-daughter duo. Of course, we were originally thinking of doing so in the Vancouver area when out of the blue, a friend sent us an email sharing her plans to open a business in Sint Maarten. She sent us pictures of the quaint streets in Philipsburg and talked about the potential the tourism industry offered.

We looked at each other and smiled. Could we open our business in Sint Maarten instead? Our hearts said yes but having never visited the island before, we decided to book a short trip to check it out. We knew that we were "home" the first day we were here!

Sint Maarten has that effect on so many! It offers a sense of peace and carries a special energy not to be found in many other places. We returned home after several days of exploring this island paradise, sold everything we owned back in Canada, and returned two months later to start building our boutique from the ground up. Oh My Goddess! opened its doors for business in December 2019 and we have been welcoming tourists and locals alike ever since.

However, our prior business experience did nothing to prepare us for the challenges that we were to experience when the world went into lockdown only months after we opened our doors. We did weather that passing storm 'gracefully' and have since developed loyal and lasting relationships over the years.

Having never been known to rest for long, and as more and more clients approached us with their interests in following their own paths to move to this island paradise, we decided it was time to expand once again and to add a 'new string to our bow' as we like to say, and add 'Real Estates Experts' to our career resume.

And so, just as we believe at Oh My Goddess! that a goddess should always feel gorgeous and dress without stress, so we do believe that finding the home that will fulfill yours and your families dreams should be an experience in joy ... without stress!
