Orient Bay is the French side's resort village on the Atlantic coast, built around a beach of almost two kilometres of white sand. Beach clubs, water-sports operators and a village square of restaurants and shops sit just behind the sand, with apartments and small residences in the walkable village and villas on the hills above. The bay looks out on Green Cay and the Saint-Martin nature reserve, and Pinel Island is a five-minute boat ride from the next bay north.
