Guana Bay is a residential hillside on the Atlantic coast east of Philipsburg, reached by a winding road over the ridge from the capital. Villas sit on large plots facing the sea and, on clear days, St. Barths, with the constant trade winds keeping the area cooler than the leeward coast. The beach below is a surf beach with strong currents and no facilities. Neighbouring Red Pond adds gated estates and new condo residences.
